Have you asked the following questions? "When should I book invitations?" "When do I send out save the dates?" "When do I mail my invites?" These are all questions that are common when you start planning your wedding, because no one teaches you and no one explains the details. Let us save you some time googling it and fill you in on some simple timelines. The best way to start is backwards from your wedding day.
1. Save the Dates Are Your Friend
Send these 6-12 months in advance, especially for destination weddings or busy season events. Your guests will thank you! It takes time to design and create so booking a stationer like us helps get this all started (and we will walk you through each step of the way).
2. Timing is Everything
Formal invitations should go out 6-8 weeks before your wedding. For destination events, 3-4 months is a better window.
3. RSVP Deadlines Matter
Set your RSVP deadline 3-4 weeks before the wedding, so you have time to finalize everything with your vendors. You might also need to track down some guests responses.
4. Destination Weddings Need Extra Love
Invitations should go out 3 months ahead, giving guests time to book flights and accommodations.
5. Plan for Design Time
Your custom invitations need time for perfection! Book your your stationer at least 6 months before you plan to send them. This allows plenty of time for creative design and production without stress. Our creative process starts 6 month before your wedding day. Sooner if you want us to design your save the dates.
